Project Management, Asana Best Practices

Data Scientist, Asana

I'm a Data Scientist at Asana. I have spent the majority of my time at Asana working on projects related to defining, implementing, and maintaining core parts of our metrics and data pipelines, so that we can better understand our userbase and how we can help them more. As an Asana Advisor I can help you with projects related to getting started in Asana, developing Asana best practices, and general project management, so that you can be sure you'll be tracking your work more efficiently, with greater ease, and nothing will get lost.

I’m excited to help nonprofits with their Asana projects! I’m passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, feminism, civil liberties for groups more broadly, electronic/digital privacy and rights (including net neutrality), and local and global efforts to tackle climate change, among other issues. Recently, I am most proud of being a part of our Asana LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) called Team Rainbow, serving on their committee as both secretary and treasurer. I'm proud to be able to support this community by leveraging some of my more unique skills. See for some more.

I have a background in math and computer science, having studied Applied and Computational Math at Caltech, and have long been passionate about these areas and their intersection, which is what led me to Data Science at Asana. I've been at Asana for some years now, managed many, many projects using it, and wouldn't do it any other way. As such, I've got a lot of great experience in how to run projects both for yourself as well as for larger groups, more generally how to organize work to ensure things don't get lost, and general best practices when using Asana. When it makes sense, I like to combine Asana with usage of Google Docs and Spreadsheets, where the work content can benefit from it.
